Jello Cake

1 small package of jello
1 box cake
Cool whip

Make cake according to directions. Let it cool. When it is cooled down use the handle of a wooden spoon to punch holes it it. Punch one hole per single serving piece. Make jello. Pour jello over cake. You may not want to pour all the jello on it. I do however. Place in refrigerator over night, or several hours at least. You need to let the jello set. Serve with cool whip.

I've usually made cherry jello with white cake. The combinations are endless however. Red jello of some sort with strawberry cake is another favorite.
