Bread Pudding

I made this recipe up today and it turned out really well.

4-5 pieces of Wheat Bread
eggs
around 1 cup of milk
1-2 teaspoons vanilla
1-2 teaspoons powdered sugar(I used powdered because we're out of regular who does that?)
additional powdered sugar and cinnamon sugar

break up bread in medium sized bowl and add enough eggs for the bread to be thoroughly coated add milk(amounts vary depnding on size of bread slice), vanilla and measured p. sugar. Grease pan(I couldn't fin the right kind of pan so I used a pie pan) and pour into pan. Sprinkle top with lots of cinnamon sugar and p. sugar. Bake at 350 until it sets. Mine took about 30 minutes.

Sandy’s Three Can 10 Minute Chili

Very easy, and quite good!

1 pd ground beef or turkey browned

1 large onion or ½ cup dried onion

1 15 oz can kidney beans with liquid

1 15 oz can stewed tomatoes (can use the ro-tel or Mexican, this will make it spicer)

1 15 oz can tomato sauce

1 tbsp chili powder

¼ tsp cumin

1 pinch cloves

1 pinch cinnamon

2 cloves of garlic

1 tsp sugar

1 tbsp Worchester sauce

2 bay leaves

Mix add together, simmer for at least 20-30 minutes, remove bay leaves and serve. Great over potatoes, and this freezes well.

Amazinginly Easy Hamburger Rollup

Surprisingly better than it looks! It's one of our favorites!

Ingredients:
1 roll of Pillsbury refrigerated pizza dough
1 lb hamburger
1 bunch green onions
Crumbled bacon
Shredded cheese

Directions:
Cook hamburger in pan. When almost done, add the bacon and chopped up green onions. Meanwhile, open pizza dough and roll out to a bigger rectangle (I do it the size of my rectangular Pampered Chef baking stone). Take cooked meat and spread it all across the pizza dough. Sprinkle with cheese (amount to your liking). Roll up the long side to the other long side. Bake at 375 for 20-25 minutes.

If wanted, when you take it out, spread a little margarine on top and sprinkle with Lawry's Seasoning Salt (our favorite seasoning)

Enjoy with ketchup and mustard!

Beefy Salsa Mac

An easy, fast meal that the kids will eat! I like to serve with corn and homemade bread.

1 lb ground beef
½ to 1 cup Salsa (I only use ½ to 1 cup)
2 cups water
1 package (14.5 oz) Macaroni and Cheese
½ cup mayonnaise

Cook ground beef, drain. Stir in all ingredients. Stir to mix well. Bring mixture to a boil; reduce heat to low. Cover; cook, stirring occasionally, for 7 minutes or until macaroni is tender. Remove from heat; keep covered. Allow to stand for 5 minutes. Makes 6 servings

Lazy Dazy Cake

I use this cake for shortcakes (strawberry!) and pineapple upside-down cake. It tastes 1000 times better than a mix or store-bought shortcakes and only takes about 3 minutes to mix together.

1 C Sugar
2 eggs
1/2 C Milk
1 C Flour
1 t Baking Powder
1/4 t Salt

Mix all ingredients about 2 minutes and bake in a 9x9 pan for 30 minutes at 375*. (easily doubled) The recipe also comes with a broiled topping (I never do the topping because to me it tastes better with cool whip, fruit, or frosting):

2 T Butter
1/2 c Brown Sugar
1/2 C Nuts or Coconut

Mix together and put on baked cake and place under broiler until golden. (the topping burns easily)
