The best, softest Sugar Cookies ever

1 c. sugar

2 eggs

½ cup shortening

1 cup sour cream

1 ½ tsp vanilla

1 tsp salt

2 tsp baking powder

4 c. flour

Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs, beat well. Add sifted dry ingredients alternately with sour cream and vanilla. Mix well. Roll 1/8” thick on floured surface. Bake at 350 degrees for 7-8 minutes.
